Summary:
The Engineer will be a team member of the cross function team that provides Land Based Test and Training site engineering support to V Department at NSWC Dahlgren.
Job Duties:
This position is the engineer who is the expert leader of the team and responsible for the contract deliverables to include engineering design, reporting, and analysis.
Mandatory Skill Requirements (must have):
The Engineer shall have four (4) years of recent Surface Combatant Weapons experience with major programs/platforms such as AEGIS, SSDS, FFG, LUSV, or USCG; with established expertise in engineering, strategic planning, design, development, installation, activation and integration of complex new Land Based test/training capabilities, and surface combatant modernization.
Experience in combat systems, weapon systems, system interfaces, facility combat system configuration, system and site networks, distributed systems, fiber distribution systems, wiring diagrams/schematics and cable plant configuration management and control.
Experience in AutoCAD and Microsoft VISIO, as well as Microsoft Office.
Desired Skill Requirements:
Navy combat and weapon systems background/experience.
Able to work in a team environment.
Understanding of Navy protocols.
Education/Equivalent:
The Engineer shall have a Bachelor degree in engineering in a school of engineering accredited by the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET).
